The Canadian Sponsorship Forum travels the country, with a new destination each year showcasing the best in Canadian sponsorship stories.
CSF 2013 is not to be missed by anyone working in Canada’s sponsorship industry. Not only will you hear our most accomplished sponsorship professionals speak, you will also learn about major Canadian sponsorship success stories and have ample opportunity to network with the leading sponsorship marketing minds in the business today. The entire sponsorship community — agencies, properties, researchers, educators, suppliers and corporate Canada — are connecting and re-connecting in Saskatoon, May 24-26, 2013, at the MasterCard Memorial Cup.

2012
The 8th edition of the Canadian Sponsorship Forum returned to Montréal, Québec July 25-27, 2012 to share in the 30th anniversary celebration of the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. Over 300 from Canada’s sponsorship and marketing community gathered to learn, share, network, get inspired — and have a few laughs.
CSF 2012 featured our largest speaker roster yet as we explored the theme of “The Passion Paradigm.” Passion is often leveraged as the inspiration and driving force behind successful sponsorship programs, and delegates saw this passion unfold firsthand as they laughed and learned, absorbing all they could from a variety of sessions that showcased Headliners, Main Stage Presenters, Spotlight Sessions, Panels, and new to the Forum format, ‘Open Mic’ Roundtables. Headliner Marc Kielburger of Free The Children and Me to We wrapped up the Forum with an inspiring and passionate speech on empowering lives and building a youth movement.
Networking events provided delegates with the opportunity to connect and re-connect with their colleagues. Events included a dinner reception at North America’s oldest inn, and an afternoon spent at Just For Laughs, featuring a behind-the-scenes rehearsal viewing, a VIP dinner on the festival grounds, and an evening of laughter at The Muppets All-Star Comedy Gala.

2011
Partnering with Octane Racing Group Inc., the Canadian Sponsorship Forum crew raced into Montréal in June 2011 for the Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada. Delegates got their motors running and hit the road for a thrilling joyride as the heart of Montréal throbbed from sunrise to sunset and beyond, to the rhythm of the city’s busiest weekend of the year.
Taking in lessons on how to rev up your ROI by day, and exploring everything Canada’s most vibrant city had to offer by night, delegates roared through an agenda unlike any other. From keynote presentations and ROI sessions, to strategy workshops and unparalleled networking opportunities, delegates of CSF 2011 learned, networked and shared ideas with the industry’s top decision makers and thought-leaders.
Over 300 of Canada’s sponsorship marketing community participated in an educational and action-packed weekend experience of a lifetime. Highlights included learning how the internationally renowned men’s health charity came to be, from Mr. Movember himself, Adam Garone; getting an insider’s look at the Formula 1 Grand Prix with a private track tour; and enjoying prime seating in a private VIP tent at the legendary race.

The 2009 Forum ventured into Quebec for the first time and partnered with Quebec City’s Winter Carnaval — one of the premier sponsorship events in Canada and the largest event of its kind in the world. In 2008, Canadian Sponsorship Forum delegates were placed directly in the middle of international hockey hysteria as the World Hockey Championships came to Halifax for the Qualifying Rounds. Aside from the learning sessions and networking with colleagues, delegates had a chance to tour Alexander Keith’s Brewery, enjoyed a reception at historic Pier 21 hosted by the Canada Games Council, met Canada’s first lady of hockey, Hayley Wickenheiser, and watched Team Canada take on Team USA in a hard fought win that the boys pulled out in the final minute of the game.
